As Detachment Commander, responsibilities include command, training management, flight authorisation and administrative support of all US-based.

RAAF C-27J students. C-27J flight training was conducted with the Italian Air Force in preparation for this position.

Competitively selected for the exchange C-130E/H pilot position with 2nd Airlift Squadron, USAF. Attended C-130H Instructor Pilot school at Little Rock AFB, multiple operational deployments/exercises and performed position of a Standardisation/Evaluation pilot. Instructed/evaluated tactical air land, airdrop and formation roles.
