RSVP: Friends of the Caribou

If you were involved with the Caribou, a reunion is being organised just for you. It will be held in the Ipswich area in August next year (2020). The month is significant as the first Caribous were flown into Vietnam in August 1964.

It is planned to hold events over the Thursday, Friday, Saturday (6-8 August 2020) with a "Sick Parade/farewell breakfast" on Sunday the 9th. The venue which we have chosen can only accommodate 220 - 240 people, so once we have received that number of confirmed names the book is closed. That bit is beyond our control - so get your name in early.

We've made some inquiries re: costs and it is estimated that the total cost to everyone will be $150 per person, but we'll confirm this later. This will cover bus transport and the gala dinner but will not cover accommodation. Accommodation is your responsibility and as some people live in the area and will not require accommodation, some will stay with friends, some will bring their vans/mobile homes and others will stay in motels, accommodation is a variable so your responsibility. At some of the events we've got planned, parking is not guaranteed, so we're looking at hiring a number of buses.

If you will require accommodation, we're having discussions with accommodation providers in the area and we'll have more on that later.

We're putting this questionnaire out now as we'd like to know your thoughts on some of the events we have in mind, please take a few minutes to fill it in and send to us.
